Formal dining is making a comeback 👌🏽 We we’re working with a very small kitchen footprint that only allowed for 2 stools at the island. The connecting original dining room we spruced up and added seating for 8. This truly shows the power of paint + quality furnishings. Swipe to see the before!!

This is us 🫶🏼 we are never on the front side of the camera but we slowed down for 10 seconds this weekend to make it happen. Meet the Freeborn’s- if you’ve been in for design work you’ve met Shan (head of design, loyal to a fault and never afraid to tell you if the tile you’ve picked is ugly). Devin you’ve probably met on site (his attention to detail is second to none + there’s generally never a problem he can’t solve). Parker you’ve probably seen running around one of the stores (or maybe not because she’s lightening fast). It truly is a family business around here. We love our staff like they are family and our clients become a part of that too.

Well here it goes folks- well the cliff notes version of it anyways. What started as a way to fill space at the front of a very bare showroom almost 5 years ago with a few little decor accessories available for purchase has now surpassed anything I could’ve ever dreamed of. Our London showroom is quite literally busting at the seams and we’ve completely outgrown what the space allows. 2 incredible women purchased a gorgeous old building and approached me asking if I’ve considered a second location for all you out-of-towners. Truth is I’ve always considered it. If you’ve met me you know I thrive on chaos (yes I’m holding a 7 week old newborn as I type this) so of course my answer was yes- I could never say no to a beautiful old building like this that’s just oozing with character. For a long time we’ve gone back and forth on what content to post on our stories and feed. Let’s be real all you men on here aren’t here for the ripped jeans and pampas grass (well maybe you are- there’s no judgement here). As we continue to grow and evolve it was time to not only embark on a second location but to separate our retail from our design business. We are SO excited to bring this new shopping experience to you. All of the accessories, clothing, lighting, rugs and furniture you could ever dream of in Exeter, ON. This account will now focus primarily on our projects. Our London location is still remaining as is for both design + shopping (for now but more on that later). The design aesthetic were known for has always been minimal, cozy, timeless.. “easy” is probably the best way to describe it. And what’s easier than a Sunday Morning. You guys had 2 main questions about this home: 1) the wood is actually all original to this 180 year old home + while most people would’ve taken easy street and covered it up @valleyburn_properties spent the time and money to uncover it restore it to its former glory 2) the vase on the coffee table is from our shop “Kono Vase”- it’s one of our absolute favourite pieces.
