The overall goal was to transform this space into equal parts country-equal parts chic. The original kitchen was dull, dark, dated and was not using the wall space to its full potential. We turned the galley portion of this kitchen that was previously being used as a desk area- into an open concept butler's pantry. We built in the fridge, microwave and pantries while including a counter space to be used as a bar area when entertaining. Our focal point of the space was a custom hood that we added a wood mantle to the bottom to add some warmth and tie in the floor. The wine hutch on the peninsula was custom designed to match the X glass mullion cabinets framing the stove. Cabinetry extended to the ceiling, multiple drawer banks and a hidden small appliance hutch sealed the deal on maximizing storage in this beautiful space.
